Seventeen years ago, the immortal human "Ajin" was identified on a battlefield in Africa. The world was in an uproar, but when it became clear that it was no different from humans except that it did not die, it soon became a topic of conversation. One day, while leaving school with a friend, Kei is killed in a car accident, but soon returns to life and discovers that he is Ajin. Kei is pursued by the government and attempts to escape. While a group of government agents moves to capture Kei, an unidentified man, Sato, attempts to approach Kei with an Ajin, Tanaka.
