Synopsis
Reiko, who works for a real estate company in Kowloon Walled City, has a secret crush on her colleague Hatsu Kudo. One day, she realizes that a woman with the exact same name and appearance as herself lived in the past, and that she has no memory of her past. Review
The story is about Kowloon Walled City, a huge slum in Hong Kong that existed and was demolished in 1993, and the daily life and romance of its residents. It is a romance manga in genre, but the mysterious charm of Kowloon and the science fiction elements are mixed well with the romance, giving the reader a pleasant feeling as if he or she were watching a shimmering jellyfish. Of course, it is a fiction and there are some differences from the facts, but the humane and sultry atmosphere of Kowloon is very realistically reproduced. The unexpected developments are fascinating, and once you start reading, you will not be able to stop.
