Synopsis
Yatora has excellent grades and enjoys his high school life with his like-minded friends. Because he is able to handle everything with ease, he has never had a passion for anything and has never set a goal for his life. Then he stumbled upon the world of art. One of his senior girls drew a picture that inspired him to start drawing, and he eventually began studying in earnest to enter the most prestigious art university. This is the story of his journey from the school’s art club to a preparatory school for art college entrance exams, where he meets people full of individuality and is inspired to move forward.
Review
“Blue Period” is the story of a young man who encounters a painting and aspires to become an artist, and because it carefully depicts feelings that everyone has experienced, readers who have no connection to art will surely be able to relate to it. The main message of this story is that you can change the world as you see it. By facing yourself seriously, you can learn about yourself, and by learning about the world outside of yourself, including other people, society, and history, you can change the world you see. Since there is no right answer to life, I believe that we should live our lives with a great deal of worry.
