Synopsis
Dai is a member of the basketball club. When he was in junior high school, a friend took him to see a live jazz performance, which struck a chord with him. After that, he began practicing tenor saxophone by himself. This is the story of a boy fascinated by jazz who aspires to become the best jazz player in the world.
Review
It is an incredibly passionate jazz manga. At first glance, the story seems to be a royal one, with the main character striving to become the best in the world, but there are many developments that are not royal at all, and you will not be able to take your eyes off of the story. The performance scenes are superbly expressed, and the “sound” and the “spirit” of the performers are powerfully depicted, so that you can hear the sounds in your head. Life and jazz may well be similar, with many people meeting and influencing each other.
